北宋政治家范仲淹小时候随母搬到章丘长白山,后寄居在长白山醴泉寺读书,因生活艰苦,每天熬稠粥一盆,冷却后划成三块充饥。某日,一只黄鼬偷走了一块,范仲淹一气之下去挖黄鼬洞,结果竟挖出大包金银财宝。范仲淹不为所动,照原样埋好财宝,继续苦读,终成一代名臣。后醴泉寺僧人进京拜访他,求其出资维修寺庙。范仲淹于是告知对方,寺旁某处埋有金银财宝,挖出后足够修缮费用。   Fan Zhongyan was not Tempted by the Hidden Gold Fan Zhongyan was a famous statesman in the North Song Dynasty. When he was a child, he moved to Changbai Mountain in Zhangqiu with his mother. Later, he studied at Liquan Temple of Changbai Mountain. Leading a hard life, he made a pan of congee and divided the cold congee into three parts to allay his hunger every day. One day, some congee was stolen by a weasel. Fan Zhongyan angrily dug its cave and surprisingly found lots of gold. Fan Zhongyan was not tempted and buried the treasures again. He continued with his studies and turned to be a well-known minister. Later, the monks of Liquan Temple visited him and asked him to help with the reconstruction of the temple. At this time, Fan Zhongyan told them that a huge amount of gold was hidden somewhere in the temple which was enough for the restoration of the temple.
